When I was first launching weheartbranding.com, and had no idea how to take my ideas from plan to profit, I was committed to having regular brainstorming sessions with one of my small business besties, Jessica Hackett. I was searching for a way to grow my business and to earn a full time salary with part time hours. Jessica was transitioning from social media marketing to content strategy, and deciding whether to launch her own business. We would brainstorm once every other week and run ideas by one another for hours at a time.
Our brainstorming sessions were helpful and exciting. After each call, I felt amped. Full of ideas, ready to take on the world. Problem was, I had no idea what to do with that energy. I didn’t know how to brainstorm in a strategic way that lead to real action and a profitable business model.
While it was great to brainstorm together and bounce ideas off of my friend, we were both in the early stages of our business. Neither of us could effectively guide the other to the next step.
